Notice of 2022 House of Councilors election [election discount]
June 22, 2022 (Wednesday) is the public announcement date for the election of councilors. Early voting begins on the 23rd (Thursday), and voting will be held on July 10th (Sunday).
During the period from June 23rd (Thursday) to July 18th (Monday/holiday), we will be running a campaign called ``Election Discount'' that will give discounts to customers who have proof that they have participated in the election.
Those who send a photo of the voting certificate issued when voting or a photo of the exterior of the polling place to the address below will receive a 15% discount coupon at a later date.

Aiming for a healthy society
BATON, which operates our store, has held discount programs every election to increase voter turnout.
A topic that comes up every election is the low voter turnout, especially among young people. One of the reasons why people don't vote is that they give up and say, ``Even if I vote, nothing will change.''
In fact, no matter who becomes a politician, I don't think our current lives will change completely. I think our daily lives will continue as usual, just working, getting tired, sleeping, and waking up.
I vote not because I have any expectations.
I don't go to vote because I want to change something, but because I want to live a life of freedom.
I would rather live my life according to my own principles than live my life in an inconvenient way that is left to others. Because in the end, you are responsible for the consequences of your choices.
To be honest, I'm somewhat satisfied with my current life.
You can eat meals every day, sleep on a warm futon, and enjoy hobbies on your days off.
Although I have some complaints, I am grateful to be able to live a free life.
Even so, I believe that there are still problems in society that need to be solved.
This election may or may not change something.
We believe that reflecting the opinions of as many people as possible will lead to a "healthy society."
I believe that it is most important for each individual to be actively involved in society.
We hope that through this initiative we can gather even a little bit of interest in the election.
There may be some people who are planning to vote but don't know who is running in their constituency or which political party they should vote for.

About early voting
I think most people usually go to vote on the day the election is counted, but if you have plans on the day or are not sure if you can vote on the day, we recommend voting early .
The venue for early voting varies by city, ward, town, or village, but voting hours generally seem to be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (*Times may vary depending on each polling station)
As long as it's before 8pm, you can probably vote after you finish work or errands.
Additionally, some venues may be open until 9pm for the six days before the voting date, so please check the information for your area for details.
We would appreciate it if as many people as possible could vote and take advantage of this campaign.
