[Fukuoka] PHOLUS Bespoke Tour Location Decided

The first stop on the PHOLUS national tour, a truly memorable occasion, has been decided: an eyewear store in Fukuoka!

It will be held for three days, from Friday, April 24th to Sunday, April 26th, at "POTATO MEGANE FUKUOKA" in Daimyo.

This tour began with a first-of-its-kind "open call" for locations. Thank you so much to all the followers who submitted recommendations. Each and every one of your voices, saying "I want to see blueover at that store," was the sole driving force behind this project.

The selection of locations through this open call is still ongoing. We are still seeking recommendations for a "Nagoya venue" on Instagram, so please tell us what you envision as the "perfect place for blueover."

The Fukuoka venue will be "POTATO MEGANE FUKUOKA" in Daimyo, Fukuoka, which was recommended by Mr. TAGAI YO! HINTEN from Yamaguchi.

The Story of "Potato Megane"

Potato Megane's story began in 1987, when two young brothers started selling glasses with just a single bag. Behind the name "Potato" lies the indomitable spirit of transforming into "delicious food" even after being crushed. And it also represents their "caring" attitude, treating customers like their own parents when conducting eye exams and adjustments. We strongly felt that their philosophy of "competing with inner quality (functional beauty) rather than appearance" resonated deeply with what we have pursued with the blueover brand.

"DRAP," a new model from Potato Megane's original brand "corner." It combines the edge of French vintage with modern lightness.

The Stage is an "Urban Auberge"

The venue for this event, "POTATO MEGANE FUKUOKA," is a secluded space themed as an "urban auberge." Stepping inside, you'll find a tranquil atmosphere that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. Divided into rooms by concept, it's a sanctuary for eyewear lovers, featuring not only selected frames but also one-of-a-kind "bespoke" pieces.

A Reunion After 10 Years

During a conversation with Mr. Matsuda, the renowned manager of "POTATO MEGANE FUKUOKA," I was further surprised. More than 10 years ago, Mr. Matsuda had seriously considered introducing blueover at the shop where he worked then. What couldn't be realized at that time is finally taking shape after more than a decade, thanks to your voices.

Thanks to your support, blueover will celebrate its 15th anniversary this spring.

I am truly looking forward to the time when we can discuss shoes with all of you in this place that makes us cherish both the past 15 years and our future journey.

In the tranquil space of "Potato Megane," you can carefully examine a pair of shoes. It's also a time to gain the conviction that "the perfect pair of shoes" for you will blend into your life from now on.
