The modern fashion business faces many challenges, such as development that does not involve wear testing, transactions that are completed only by phone or email, price setting based on sales, excessive cost pressure on factories, and worsening working conditions due to centralized ordering. yato 's manufacturing responds to these challenges by producing products that are particular about quality and comfort after undergoing wear testing for over 300 days.
At yato , we carefully select high-quality materials that are comfortable even when touching bare skin. By avoiding cheap materials, we are able to achieve luxury class quality, while providing products at an affordable price range for everyday wear, thanks to a system that directly connects factories and customers.
There is no time limit for product development, and only standard products with high perfection are developed, with minor modifications made as necessary. Sales are not conducted except for B- grade products, and the factory's profits are secured by adjusting the order timing and producing at regular prices during the off-season. By producing standard products, the factory can reduce the burden and costs of new development.
yato 's manufacturing is centered on carefully selected raw materials, careful production background, and craftsmanship, and pursues simple designs that are free of decoration and will not fade even after 10 years. The unremarkable designs bring out the individuality of the wearer, providing the fun of highlighting each person's charm. In addition, we are committed to making our products as seamless as possible, providing a comfortable fit that envelops you.

Item Introduction
Cashmere sweaters are an excellent material that is light, soft, and warm, but they have the problem of pilling easily. Usually, this problem can be addressed by increasing the knitting density and washing the sweater, but the downside is that the sweater becomes heavy and stiff as a result.
So, at yato , we have been using our 10+ years of experience to create the ideal sweater that is light, soft, warm, and resistant to pilling. To achieve this, we wear the same sweater every day from October to May every year, thoroughly testing its durability and comfort.
Cashmere's excellent breathability means it doesn't pick up odors even when worn continuously, and when worn directly against the skin, you can feel its softness and resistance to stuffiness. It also provides sufficient heat retention even in the winters of Niigata, and after 300 days of testing, there was almost no pilling or deformation. However, if you wear a T -shirt underneath, pilling is likely to occur on the sides and under the sleeves due to friction, so it is important to choose a material that causes less friction. Also, although it may feel a little itchy for the first week of wearing it, the fibers will soften as you continue to wear it, and the discomfort will go away.

We have tackled the pilling problem that is a drawback of cashmere sweaters, and by devising a knitting density and washing process, we have reduced pilling while maintaining lightness, softness, and warmth. Origin of the brand name
Designer Shibuya moved to a 150 -year-old traditional house in the Satoyama area of Niigata in March 2022 and began a self-sufficient lifestyle. Prior to that, while living in the city, he worked with artist Hideo Masago to grow rice without fertilizer or pesticides in a rice field called "Yato" in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture. This rice field was regenerated from abandoned farmland and is known as a place where special creatures gather on the Miura Peninsula. In the rice field, maintenance is carried out on the winter solstice, gratitude is given to the mountain, and rice cultivation begins by pouring spring water. From this simple yet profound process of coexistence with nature, Shibuya realized the importance of the Japanese value of "not being greedy, harmonizing with the invisible, and making use of it."
Based on this experience, the brand name yato is rooted in harmony with nature and Japanese aesthetics. yato represents a lifestyle of living in harmony with nature and a passion for creating high-quality clothing, and is a project that fuses traditional Japanese craftsmanship with new values to connect to the next generation. Please experience the body-hugging comfort of yato clothing.
