Testing under the same temperature and humidity conditions
In early July, the maximum temperature was 35°C.
The CITY VENT, which uses SUPER MESH, and the leather sneakers were each walked for 15 minutes under the same conditions, with simulations conducted under assumed circumstances, such as shopping indoors in an air-conditioned room.
The verification method was to place a thermo-hygrometer inside the toe of the shoes and measure the humidity and temperature every time the shoes were worn.

Comfortable underfoot
With SUPER MESH, the humidity did not increase during the measurement and remained constant. This shows that it is taking in outside air and releasing moisture from the feet.
On the other hand, the numbers for leather sneakers are steadily increasing, and the humidity environment inside the shoes is worsening.
After being in an air-conditioned room for three minutes, the temperature of the SUPER MESH dropped by about 3 to 4 degrees, while the temperature of the leather sneakers did not drop.
This shows that SUPER MESH allows the temperature inside the shoe to be released and the temperature outside to be taken in.

Refreshing experience
Looking at the thermometer, the temperatures during the outdoor test were close to each other. This is thought to be because the difference between the outside temperature (asphalt close to the ground) and body temperature did not change significantly during the test period.
After three minutes in an air-conditioned room, measurements showed that the SUPER MESH model showed a temperature drop of 3 to 4 degrees. On the other hand, the leather shoes showed almost no temperature drop. This proves that the temperature inside and outside the shoes is ventilated during a short period of time while walking around the room.

SUPER MESH has high ventilation capabilities.
When outdoors in the blazing sun, the difference between your body temperature and the outside air temperature is small, so you don't see any temperature changes, but the humidity always remains the same as the outside air. However, the effect is most noticeable when you enter an air-conditioned room. The ventilation power of shoes quickly takes in cool air, lowering the temperature inside your shoes.
By breaking down the thick walls of your shoes, the cool air from the air conditioner reaches your feet.

Super breathable material "SUPER MESH" is used throughout
The entire upper is made of a proprietary three-layer mesh material called "SUPER MESH." A hot melt sheet sandwiched between the middle layer is heated and melted, allowing it to permeate the front and back mesh layers, creating a three-layer integrated structure. This provides both high breathability and structural stability.
While typical shoe uppers are made up of three separate layers - the outer layer, the core, and the lining - the core and lining can hinder breathability, "SUPER MESH" integrates these three layers into a single material. While maintaining the rigidity of the core, it does not impair the inherent breathability of the mesh, resulting in a lightweight and comfortable structure. Furthermore, polyester mesh is impermeable, so your feet will always stay dry. It offers a comfortable fit even when worn barefoot.

High-resilience KaRVO™ midsole
The midsole is made of KaRVO, a material commonly used in sports shoes. Its high coefficient of restitution, while being lighter than water, supports your foot's natural movement when you take off. And because it's made of polypropylene, it can be wiped clean even if it gets wet in the rain.

Biosuzu breathable and deodorizing material
The insole is made of Biotin (gray part), which has high breathability and antibacterial properties. The surface is made of quick-drying fabric, so the insole is also sufficient to protect against summer humidity.
