Spring is in full swing, and the weather is peaceful and sunny.

From Friday, April 22nd to Sunday, May 1st, Kobe-based belt manufacturer SOAK IN WATER will be holding an order event for the first time in about a year.

This is a popular event that has been held since the beginning of our store, and many of you may already know about it, but we would like to explain the details of the event once again.

About SOAK IN WATER

We are a belt manufacturer specializing in handmade belts based in Kobe since 2012 .

Fascinated by the beauty of British antique horse harnesses, he started his own brand.

Our products are characterized by making use of materials made using traditional methods, such as vegetable tanned leather and brass metal fittings.

By making full use of materials and manufacturing methods that are not suitable for mass production, we continue to propose the essence of objects, such as the unique aging and attachment of the user.

 

4 types of unique belts

You can choose from one type of classic belt and three types of belts unique to the brand.

 

STANDARD

The first one is the classic standard belt.

This piece is hand-sewn from a single piece of leather, allowing you to fully enjoy the charm of the material.

We use a luxurious single piece of thick leather to create a simple and failure-resistant belt.

The iconic "drop-shaped" belt hole has the advantage of being difficult to spread, and combines design and practicality.

You can choose the belt width from `` 25mm '', `` 30mm '', and ` `35mm ''.

This belt has a universal design and can be worn for a long time.

 

NARROW

The second type is a long, thin narrow belt.

It is one size fits all, and you can enjoy hanging it, tying it, and arranging it.

We have a wide variety of buckle types available, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your preference.

You can choose between `` 15mm '' and `` 20mm '' belt width.

A highly fashionable and playful belt.

 

NAVEL

The third item is the navel belt, which has an impressive look.

A navel belt is a belt with a distinctive bellybutton-like appearance.

Only one belt hole is visible from the front, giving it a clean look.

The unique structure that separates the buckle and belt allows parts to be easily attached and detached and replaced.

A simple belt that shines with individuality in its casualness.

 

SOLID

The fourth item is a solid belt that is wild and has a strong presence.

This piece is made of extra-thick leather for harnesses that require strength and durability, and features an original brass buckle.

The approximately 6 mm thick leather is made by Wickett & Craig, North America's first vegetable tanner.

The wax and oil penetrate to the core, giving it an extremely thick yet supple texture.

You can choose the belt width from `` 26mm '', `` 32mm '', ` `38mm '', and `` 42mm ''.

This is a special belt that combines robustness and flexibility.

Carefully selected standard leather + French leather + dead stock

You can choose from two types of standard leather, carefully selected by a designer with deep knowledge of leather to create your ideal belt, and French leather, which is being introduced for the first time.

We also have a limited number of rare dead stock leathers owned by the designer.

The first standard leather is Elba matte from Italy.

Elba matte is a representative leather from the long-established Italian tannery ``Tempesti''.

It is tanned using traditional methods using ingredients extracted from plants.

It is finished with plenty of oil and has a moist and soft texture.

The oil restores the leather's original color and texture without any special care.

You can enjoy the beautiful color and transparency of the dye finish, as well as the natural texture and aging of the leather.

In addition to the three colors "black", "dark brown" and "natural", this year we also have "navy" and "plum".

The second standard leather is British bridle leather.

Bridle leather is a traditional British leather that has been made for over 1000 years.

It was originally developed as a leather for horse harnesses, and has excellent durability and water resistance.

By applying wax many times, the leather is made to be strong and supple.

The white powder on the surface is the embossed wax and is called ``bloom.''

As you use it, the bloom will come off and a beautiful luster will appear.

Available in 7 colors: black, dark brown, navy, red, green, blue, and purple.

In addition to the two standard types, we also carry several types of rare French benz (back), which is a long-established store founded in 1880 but is still small, and has almost no distribution in Japan, as well as valuable designer dead stock leather that was popular last year. We will prepare it for you.

On the first day of the event, April 22nd (Friday) from 9:00 AM, we are planning a live broadcast with designer Mr. Kadomoto on Struct's official Instagram .

I would like to hear more about Mr. Kadomoto's hobbies, radio and soccer, as well as belts and leather.

I usually don't wear it casually, but this belt is like a companion to me every day.
