2 Register Chrono Series II
This model is equipped with Seiko's Mecha-Quartz VK64 and comes standard with a reproduction of the legendary mesh bracelet, Forstner's Comfit.
With a retro feel of the 1960s in mind, the small dials on the dial feature a horizontal double-eye style. The tachymeter scale and numbers on the bezel are in an old-fashioned font, and the hour and minute hands are in a classic alpha (diamond) shape, creating a bold, mature look.
The movement, bezel diameter, and case size have been adjusted to achieve a compact size and comfortable fit that was popular in the 1960s. A gray NATO strap is included, allowing you to wear it according to the occasion or fashion.
Seiko's mechanical quartz VK64 has a chronograph (stopwatch function) with a sweeping needle movement, and after stopping the measurement, the reset button can be used to instantly reset to zero. This smooth needle movement is an appeal not found in other mechanical quartz watches.
Forstner's "Comfit" bracelets were made by a company founded in the United States in the 1920s, which developed a mesh bracelet with an adjustable length in 1939. It is widely known for being used by NASA astronauts, and was actually used in the space program in the 1960s. Forstner has now been re-established, and a reproduction of the Comfit is on sale. Its simple structure allows it to be adjusted to fit any wrist size.
