GMT-1960
The new GMT-1960 recreates the atmosphere of the second generation GMT from the 1960s . The bezel material has been changed from the previous Bakelite to an aluminum insert, and the blue-and-red Pepsi bezel has been thoroughly designed to create a deep vintage feel as if it has faded over time. Along with the newly added black single-color bezel x black dial type, the fun of choosing is expanding.
The movement is the Miyota Caliber 9075 , which is a subsidiary of Citizen. It is the only Japanese-made automatic movement that uses the same "hour hand independent operation method" as the Rolex GMT Master II . This "Travel GMT " is attractive for its ease of use, as it allows smooth time zone switching when traveling or on business trips abroad. On the other hand, the difference between this and the Caliber NH34 , which has an "Office GMT " specification that is convenient for checking overseas times in Japan, is clearly distinguishable depending on the purpose.
In terms of design, the dome-shaped plastic windshield has a unique bulge of 2mm in height, creating the atmosphere of the 1960s . The thin case, with a case diameter of 37mm and a thickness of 10.95mm ( 13mm including the windshield), combines a classic look with a modern fit. In addition, the crown guard uses a rare "Pointed Crown Guard ( PCG )". It is full of attention to detail that will impress even antique fans.
